This is a short notes from a book that i've read yesterday which is How to Instantly Connect with Anyone by Leil Lowndes.
I remember a friend who used to tell me that she's a little bit awkward when it comes to making eye contact with people while talking to them. I'm not sure what's the reason but here are some useful tips for you Fana haha. And also anyone who may share the same dilemma especially para du'at di luar sana yang baru mula hendak mentajmik, dakwah fardiyah dan mungkin untuk menatap wajah ukhti kesayangan hew hew.. :3
To boost your eye contact with people, while gazing at someone:
2. Next, look at the shape of their eyes. Is it round, oval, almond?
3. Look at her cornea (white part of eyes). How much of the cornea is showing? And how white are they?
4. Check out the length of their eye lashes. Are they straight or melentik?
5. Check out the color of their eye lashes.
6. Are they wearing contact lenses or glasses?
7. How far apart are their eyes?
8. Count their blinks.
9. Determine who they are looking at most. This one applies during usrah, liqo. meeting, talk etc.
Btw all these nines it doesn't necesssary for you to do it all at once to a person in a single meeting, Free style laa.. jgn skema ngatt

Examine 9 Characteristics of Their Eyes
To boost your eye contact with people, while gazing at someone:
1.Slowly
describe the color of eyes to yourself. For this part, lagi detail lagi bagus.
Means don't stop at black or brown (Malaysian mostly only have this color i
think).You may think about the tone of the color itself. Maybe solid black,
grayish black, dark brown, light brown, hazel brown etc. Believe me, sometimes
we've known people for years but we can't even say what's the color of their
eyes right?? Tak caye ce fikir 10 nama orang yang ko rapat.. Gotcha!

AND, once again, these are just tips to have a good eye contact. NOT for a good communication skill eventhough it applies somehow. Because of course we don't want to be obviously observing someone eyes when they are talking to us and expecting us to focusly hearing to what they are saying.
